F.4. INTEGRATION INTO ONGOING ACTIVITIES (8 points)
If your partnership focuses mainly on learner involvement, please explain how the project will be integrated into the learning activities of the participating learner in each of the participating organisations. Need to be read
During the process of preparation we, the collaborating teachers, focused on our national curricula, methodologies and strategies and each coordinator did research in their school on which aspect of school life should be strengthened. We were aware that the project activities should be integrated into regular activities and be included in the curriculum of the participating students. We recognised educational issues which corresponded with the areas encompassed in the subject of the project.
Comenius project will be officially introduced to the school programme and either integrated into normal lessons or as afternoon clubs activities. The chosen topic is the result of our school research and discussion on the international level. To carry out the Hidden Talents project all staff at schools will be involved. The Day Together for Europe is our best possibility to talk and work with different native speakers and to promote our own country.
Some of the planned activities are well-known in all school e.g. the students’ performance/show or Art displays. Due to the Comenius project we will be able to present them to the wider audience. Other activities will be totally new – e.g. ICT competitions, surveys on-line. The following teachers would like to /will contribute to the project: language teachers, Art and Craft, Music, ICT and primary classes teachers. However, secondary teachers will also join the project and have special lessons like: Geography, History, RE, PE and librarians or pedagogues/assistants.
Language competitions in German and English will be prepared in lessons and students will get chances to meet/talk to native speakers during mobilities. Besides afternoon clubs and depending on local convention, school assembly and programmes will be chosen to present students’ talents. In addition, drama workshops and/or clubs will be organized in each school to support students’ comprehension development. Students will present their drama talents at parents meetings, days of the open door at school, to celebrate special days/national events and in elderly home residences. In cooperation with local libraries various competitions will be organised, like reading and recitation competitions at different age levels.
